Over the past two weeks we’ve been trying our best to get outdoors for our planned long exposure practical sessions, but unfortunately the weather had other ideas and forced us indoors both times. While disappointing, it certainly didn’t stop us from enjoying two excellent and productive club evenings.
One session was an image review night, giving members the chance to share their photographs and discuss them in a supportive and constructive environment. These evenings are always valuable, encouraging open conversation, new ideas and shared learning across all experience levels.
The second evening focused on looking ahead to the many activities coming up in the club’s programme and was rounded off perfectly by an inspiring talk from Danni, who shared images and stories from her Christmas visit to Skye and the Scottish Highlands. Her photographs beautifully captured the atmosphere, light and drama of the landscapes, leaving many members feeling inspired for future trips.
Next week we’re looking forward to a brilliant community-focused event, where members have been submitting photographic questions they’ve always wanted answers to. Fellow members will be providing the responses, making it a truly collaborative evening full of shared knowledge, experience and discussion.
As ever, the club continues to thrive on flexibility, learning and the willingness of members to step in and share — whatever the weather throws at us.
