Success for Otley Camera Club Members at the Yorkshire Photographic Union Annual Exhibition

Today marked the opening of the Yorkshire Photographic Union Annual Exhibition, one of the region’s most prestigious photographic exhibitions.

The exhibition is open to all 63 camera clubs across Yorkshire, with photographers collectively submitting over 4,000 prints and digital images across a wide range of categories. From these entries, only around 200 mounted prints and 250 projected digital images are selected for exhibition, making acceptance a significant achievement due to both the volume and exceptionally high standard of work submitted.

We are therefore delighted to celebrate the success of several Otley Camera Club members.

Images by Massimiliano Malisan, Danni Burgess, Les Smart and Richard Sells were all accepted into the exhibition.

In addition, both Keira Thorogood and James Grimmitt achieved the fantastic accomplishment of having three images accepted each.

Further success came with Les Smart and Richard Sells both receiving certificates for their work.

A special mention also goes to Massimiliano Malisan, whose image has been selected to go forward for consideration to represent the Yorkshire Photographic Union in a national PAGB competition — a tremendous honour.

Congratulations to all our members who achieved success in this year’s exhibition. To have work accepted at this level is a real accomplishment and a reflection of the high standard of photography being produced within the club.
