Product Photography in Full Flow at Otley Camera Club

Last night we enjoyed a fantastic practical evening at Otley Common, where the focus was firmly on product photography. Members rotated around a series of stations, each offering a different setup to explore. These ranged from simple natural-light arrangements to more advanced techniques such as focus stacking.

The variety allowed everyone—from beginners to experienced photographers—to experiment, learn, and develop their skills. Some excellent images were produced, and it was wonderful to see members getting inspired to try more at home. With our product photography competition later in the season, this series of sessions is designed to help everyone feel confident and ready to enter.

This was our second session in the product photography trilogy. Next week brings the final instalment, where the photographers who led each station will demonstrate how they would post-process the images captured during the evening. It promises to be another informative and inspiring night.
