We are delighted to congratulate Chris Burgess, whose photograph “Bathing in the Mist” has been selected for inclusion in the Yorkshire River Trust “Rivers4Life” Exhibition.
The exhibition will be held at the Dales Countryside Museum in Hawes from 6th June to 6th September 2026, celebrating rivers and their importance to our landscapes and communities.
Chris’s beautifully crafted long-exposure image captures the soft movement and atmosphere of cascading water, with delicate mist rising around the falls to create a peaceful and immersive scene. It’s a striking and well-deserved selection.
What makes this achievement even more special is that the photograph was taken during one of our Otley Camera Club “Out and About” events, which Chris himself was leading. It’s a wonderful example of how our club outings not only bring members together socially but also provide opportunities to create work of exhibition standard.
We’re incredibly proud to see Chris’s image representing both him and the club in such a respected showcase. If you’re in the Hawes area over the summer, we highly recommend visiting the exhibition and seeing the image in person.
Congratulations Chris — a fantastic accomplishment.
