Facebook Photo of the Month Winner: Claire Wilson-Sharp

We’re delighted to announce that Claire Wilson-Sharp has won our latest Otley Camera Club Facebook Photo of the Month competition with this vibrant and visually striking image.

This month’s competition was judged by Jamie Kirk, who was drawn to the photograph’s strong composition and colour contrast. Jamie commented that Claire’s image featured “eye-catching opposing colours with bold symmetry and leading lines,” elements that combine to guide the viewer’s eye through the scene and create a powerful visual impact. The reflection in the floor adds an additional layer of interest, doubling the colour and symmetry within the frame.

Our Facebook Photo of the Month competition is a fun and informal monthly challenge held within our members’ group. It’s designed to encourage members to share their photography, celebrate creativity and enjoy each other’s work in a relaxed and supportive environment. Each month’s winner becomes the judge for the following competition — and, of course, receives the traditional prize of a bar of chocolate.
