Celebrating Success at Our Annual Awards Evening

On the Saturday evening of our Annual Exhibition, we held one of the most enjoyable and important nights of the Otley Camera Club calendar — our Annual Awards Evening.

The evening is always a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the end of another successful season, recognise members’ achievements throughout the year, and reveal the final results of the Annual Exhibition.

After drinks and nibbles, our exhibition judge, Mark Waddington, took members on a guided tour of the exhibition, discussing some of the images that had particularly caught his eye and sharing insights into what made them stand out. His comments highlighted the incredibly high standard of photography displayed throughout the exhibition.

We then gathered for the presentation of awards.

As part of the evening, every member who achieved a first place in one of the season’s competitions received a commemorative coin, before trophies, certificates, and pin badges were presented in recognition of members’ achievements across the year.

The evening was a fantastic celebration of the creativity, talent, friendship, and support that make Otley Camera Club such a special community to be part of.
