Otley Camera Club’s Annual Exhibition returned to All Saints’ Parish Church, Otley, over the weekend, attracting visitors from across the local area to enjoy a celebration of photography, creativity and community.
The exhibition showcased a wide range of photographic work created by club members, including landscapes, wildlife, portraits, street photography and creative images. Alongside the exhibition itself, visitors were able to take part in the public vote competition, enjoy refreshments, browse print and second-hand photography sales and learn more about the club’s activities and upcoming programme.
Otley Camera Club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Otley Parish Church for once again hosting the exhibition. In particular, special thanks go to Church Warden Tom Raper for all his help, flexibility and support throughout the planning and running of the event.
The club would also like to thank Otley Town Council for its continued support, including funding which helped purchase materials used to create new exhibition display stands. These stands will not only support future club exhibitions but will also be made available to other Otley community groups and for hire by organisations further afield.
Thanks also go to Specsavers Otley for once again sponsoring the exhibition and supporting the club’s activities within the local community.
The club is also extremely grateful to photographer and judge Mark Waddington, who judged the exhibition awards and provided valuable feedback and support during the event.
A special thank you also goes to Colin from the Yorkshire Photographic Union for supporting the exhibition through the loan of additional display stands from the Union.
Otley Camera Club would also like to thank all members who supported the exhibition by entering images, providing cakes, donating tombola prizes and prints for sale, and giving up their time to help throughout the weekend.
A massive thank you goes to the Exhibition Committee, who worked tirelessly in the planning, preparation, delivery and final clear-up of the event — and who are probably already beginning to think about next year’s exhibition!
And of course, a huge thank you to everyone who visited the exhibition over the weekend and helped make it such a success.
