Competitions are a central part of the club and provide an opportunity for members to develop their photography, receive constructive feedback and celebrate great images.

 

Why We Run Competitions

​Our competitions are friendly and supportive, designed to encourage members of all abilities to improve their photography. Experienced judges provide helpful comments and suggestions which many members find invaluable in developing their work.

Types of Competitions

 

Projected Digital Images (PDI)
Images shown digitally and judged during club evenings.

Print Competitions
Printed photographs displayed and judged during the meeting.

Open Competitions
Members can enter any subject.

Themed Competitions
Images must follow a specific theme set for the competition.

Annual Exhibition

Competition Structure

 

Each season we run a series of competitions covering both Projected Digital Images and Prints.

Points are awarded throughout the season which contribute to our annual trophies and awards.
