A Fantastic Weekend in the Lake District

Otley Camera Club is about so much more than our Thursday night meetings. While those evenings are always fantastic — with inspiring speakers, practical sessions and competitions — one of the things we value most is getting out with our cameras and sharing photography experiences together.
This weekend was a perfect example of that.
A group of 17 members, along with family members, spent a brilliant weekend in the Lake District, packed with photographic opportunities and great company.
The weekend included two evening visits to RSPB Haweswater, where members had the chance to photograph badgers — a real highlight for many. Saturday was spent exploring a range of stunning locations across the Lakes, capturing a variety of landscape images in beautiful surroundings.
The weekend finished with a relaxed Sunday lunch at Shap Wells Hotel, followed by the chance to photograph the ever-popular red squirrels, bringing the trip to a perfect close.
It was a fantastic weekend not just for photography, but for everything that makes the club special — fun, laughter, shared experiences, and members supporting each other.
These are the moments that really define Otley Camera Club.
