White Rose MXC Event in Doncaster: Capturing Fast Action with Precision
This past Sunday, several of our members attended the White Rose MXC event in Doncaster. The high-speed motocross action gave our photographers the perfect opportunity to put their skills to the test. With engines roaring and dirt flying, the event provided plenty of fast-paced thrills, allowing our members to experiment with fast shutter speeds to capture the intensity of the race. We’re excited to showcase some stunning images taken by Chris Charlesworth, who was on the gro

Bingley Rocks
A few of our club members recently had the chance to photograph Bingley Rocks, a three-day festival that showcases some of the UK's top tribute acts, alongside the best local original bands and acoustic artists. It was an excellent opportunity to practice gig photography, which can be challenging due to the dynamic lighting and constant movement. Below is a selection of photos captured by Chris Charlesworth.

Otley Common
Yesterday, we went along to the 'Otley Common Open Day' to support them with some photography. Their goal is to preserve the Grade II-listed building and create a community hub with space for community activities, events, and workspaces. It’s an exciting project that would provide a great community space and also prevent Otley from having another derelict public building. However, being community-run, it requires significant funding. This will hopefully be achieved through a

A mouse photoshoot on 28th January
The first away day of 2023 took seven members to 1853 Studios, Osborne Mill, Oldham to photograph field mice to learn about the conservation project for these small mammals and also take some amazing pictures in various poses. Our hosts were very helpful and keen to show off the 'models' in various poses. It was both enjoyable and challenging as the mice are about an inch long and display an ability to stay still then instantly move a few inches catching out the unsuspecting
