Photo of the Month – August Winner
It's time to announce another Otley Camera Club Photo of the Month winner! 🏆 Congratulations to Emily Waring! 🎉 This month's competition once again gave last month's winner, Richard Sells, a difficult decision. There was a fantastic variety of photography among the entries, including colourful Pride photographs, landscapes, wildlife and a great car photograph. Facebook Group Photo of the Month – June 2026
Congratulations to Richard Sells, whose imaginative image "Who Spilt the Growth Hormone?" has been selected as Otley Camera Club's Facebook Group Photo of the Month. Each month, the previous winner chooses their favourite image from the latest entries, and this month's judge, David Baron, had an incredibly strong selection to choose from. Congratulations to David Baron, whose excellent cricket photograph has been selected as our Photo of the Month for May. Chosen by last month's winner, Chris Burgess, the image captures a dramatic moment in professional cricket as Keaton Jennings is clean bowled by Ian Holland for 10. A huge thank you to everyone who visited the Otley Camera Club Annual Exhibition yesterday. We were delighted to welcome so many visitors throughout the day and received an incredible amount of positive feedback about the quality and variety of our members’ photography. Claire Wilson-Sharp Wins Otley Camera Club Photo of the Year
Last night we held one of the highlights of the Otley Camera Club calendar — our annual Photo of the Year competition. Throughout the evening, members revisited the images that had received awards in competitions over the course of the season. Everyone then selected their three favourite images, with the scores revealed Eurovision Song Contest style. Facebook Photo of the Month Winner – Chris Burgess
We’re delighted to announce that Chris Burgess is the winner of our Facebook Group Photo of the Month for April with his touching monochrome image of a lamb being hand reared. Success for Otley Camera Club Members at the Yorkshire Photographic Union Annual Exhibition
Today marked the opening of the Yorkshire Photographic Union Annual Exhibition, one of the region’s most prestigious photographic exhibitions. The exhibition is open to all 63 camera clubs across Yorkshire, with photographers collectively submitting over 4,000 prints and digital images across a wide range of categories. From these entries, only around 200 mounted prints and 250 projected digital images are selected for exhibition, making acceptance a significant achievement d


Portrait, People & Figure Studies – Final Competition of the Season
We brought this season’s competitions to a close with our Portrait, People & Figure Studies competition, expertly judged by Erica Oram. The evening showcased a wide variety of images, from striking portraits to creative interpretations of the theme. As always, the standard was very high, reflecting the effort and creativity of our members. Scapes Competition Results – Judged by Nigel Plant
We enjoyed another excellent competition evening at Otley Camera Club, with our Scapes competition judged by Nigel Plant. The theme always proves to be a popular one, and this year was no exception, with a fantastic range of images entered across both Print and Projected Digital Image (PDI) categories. Competition Results: Architecture Colour PDIs and Record Mono Prints
We enjoyed another great competition evening at Otley Camera Club, with Peter Wells joining us as our judge. The evening featured two categories: Projected Digital Images (PDI) – Architecture in Colour and Print – Record in Monochrome. Both sections attracted a wide range of creative and technically strong entries, showcasing the talent and variety of work produced by our members.
