A few of our club members recently had the chance to photograph Bingley Rocks, a three-day festival that showcases some of the UK's top tribute acts, alongside the best local original bands and acoustic artists. It was an excellent opportunity to practice gig photography, which can be challenging due to the dynamic lighting and constant movement. We were thrilled to continue our partnership with Otley Common yesterday, this time by helping to photograph their open day. The event kicked off with the town crier, setting the tone for a lively day filled with music, performances, craft stalls, tours, and delicious food. The atmosphere was incredibly positive, and we are hopeful that this event brings them one step closer to achieving their goal of creating a vibrant community hub.

It was great to work with Otley Common on Thursday to help document the building in its current state. It truly is an amazing building with so much potential to become a hub of our community. Their goal is to preserve the Grade II-listed building and create a community hub with space for community activities, events, and workspaces. The first away day of 2023 took seven members to 1853 Studios, Osborne Mill, Oldham to photograph field mice to learn about the conservation project for these small mammals and also take some amazing pictures in various poses.
