AGM News

On Thursday night we held our AGM. It was a very productive meeting that celebrated the success and development of the club last year and also gave an insight into the exciting prospects for the new year.

In the meeting, Richard Sells, was elected chair allowing Chris Charlesworth to step down after 6 years at the helm. During his tenure, including steering the club through the turbulent times of COVID, the club has witnessed a rise in membership and that buzz that you hear when you walk up the stairs is back. The club began to venture out of its shell to begin entering the YPU exhibitions and interclubs and had incredible success. We now have a bigger presence in the local community and have forged links with a variety of sporting clubs. A big thank you to Chris for all that he has done and also to the committee who has worked so hard alongside him.
