This week we learned about the workflow David Garthwaite uses to create hist minimalist fine art pictures of buildings. He started with the basic image and then did some basic cleanups before progressing to adding light and dimension to create a monochrome masterpiece. The various techniques used in Photoshop were explained and demonstrated in a clear and concise way. Members were astounded at the results. Creativity at its best.
Last night saw our friends from Cookridge CC join us for a night of friendship and a photography challenge set by our chairman. The theme was to capture 10 images which illustrated the letters O.T.L.E.Y N.I.G.H.T. Three teams scoured the streets of Otley whilst one team taking part via Zoom captured household images. As the judge I was presented with some truly imaginative images and it is fair to say each team deserved to be voted the winner as all the entries were outstandi
Mention light painting and the weather gods usually send the best of bad weather. For once we had had good weather and the images we captured made up for a very cold evening.
