Our 2026/27 season continues this Thursday with an evening we're particularly looking forward to, as we welcome award-winning portrait photographer Carolyn Mendelsohn to Otley Camera Club.

Portraits, Projects and Personal Stories
Carolyn will take us through her journey into photography and share the stories behind some of her most powerful and thought-provoking projects.
Her work demonstrates how portrait photography can go far beyond simply taking a picture of someone. A portrait can tell a story, give people a voice and create meaningful connections between photographer and subject.
During the evening, Carolyn will give us an insight into the ideas, experiences and stories that sit behind her photography, providing plenty of inspiration for anyone interested in photographing people.
Whether you're already passionate about portrait photography or simply interested in discovering how photographers develop ideas and create meaningful projects, this promises to be a fascinating evening.
