What an Amazing Start to the New Season!

47 people. A packed clubhouse. Lots of new faces. And an incredible atmosphere.

What a fantastic way to launch the 2026/27 season at Otley Camera Club!

After the summer break, it was wonderful to see our members returning to Otley Common last night, excited to get back together and get the new season underway.

And it was a good job we moved to our larger clubhouse at Otley Common! We had an incredible 47 people through the door, filling the clubhouse with conversation, laughter and plenty of enthusiasm for the year ahead.

One of the most exciting things about the evening was seeing so many new faces.

We've been delighted by the response to our publicity over the summer, and we're now looking at around 20 new members joining Otley Camera Club this season.

That's an incredible increase and something we're incredibly proud of. It's also a fantastic reflection of what we're trying to create at the club — a friendly and welcoming place where photographers of all abilities can come together, learn from each other, share their photography and, most importantly, enjoy being part of a community.

And this is just the beginning...

Last night's launch gave everyone a chance to catch up, meet new members and discover what's coming up in our 2026/27 programme.

And there's plenty to look forward to. From inspiring guest speakers and practical photography sessions to monthly competitions, photography trips and opportunities to photograph together, there's going to be plenty happening throughout the season. It's going to be a busy one!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along last night. To our returning members, it's great to have you back. And to all those joining us for the first time, welcome to Otley Camera Club — we're delighted to have you with us!

If last night's turnout is anything to go by, we've got a fantastic year ahead.
