Photography Courses Now Open for Booking at Prince Henry's Grammar School

If you've been thinking about learning photography or getting more from your camera, now is the perfect time.
Bookings are now open for the Prince Henry's Grammar School Community Education Programme 2026/27, and we're delighted that Otley Camera Club member Richard Sells will once again be delivering two popular photography courses.
Beginners Photography (Tuesday Evenings)
Tuesdays | 7:00pm – 9:00pm
Designed for those who are new to camera photography, this weekly course helps you unlock the creative potential of your DSLR or mirrorless camera.
Over the course you'll learn:
How to use manual mode with confidence
Aperture and shutter speed
Composition techniques
Practical photography skills
Basic editing techniques
How to capture the photographs you've always wanted
The course combines classroom learning with practical photography sessions, giving you plenty of opportunities to practise your new skills.
You'll need:
A DSLR or mirrorless camera with manual controls
At least one lens
A memory card
A tripod is recommended but not essential
Improve Your Camera Photography in a Day
Saturday 13th March | 10:00am – 4:00pm
If you prefer a one-day workshop, this course is ideal.
Suitable for photographers of all levels, it combines practical photography with easy-to-follow teaching to help you move beyond automatic mode and gain confidence using your camera creatively.
Whether you've recently bought a camera or simply want a refresher, you'll leave with a much better understanding of how to get the best from your equipment.
Continue Your Photography Journey
Many people who attend these courses go on to join Otley Camera Club, where they continue learning through guest speakers, practical evenings, competitions and regular photography outings in a welcoming and supportive environment.
