Out & About: Photographing the Deer Rut at Studley Royal
On Sunday, some of our Otley Camera Club members were up bright and early for a trip to Studley Royal and Fountains Abbey, hoping to capture the excitement of the deer rut.
It was a great opportunity to photograph these magnificent animals in their autumn surroundings, from impressive stags showing off their antlers to some fascinating interactions between the deer. There was plenty to keep everyone busy, and our members came away with some fantastic images.
Our Out & About trips are an important part of club life. They give members the chance to visit interesting locations, put their photography into practice and try different approaches, all while sharing ideas and learning from each other.
Just as importantly, they’re a great way to spend time together, enjoy photography and have a good chat along the way!
Here are just a few of the photographs taken during the morning. 🦌📸
If you’d like to join us on a future outing or find out more about Otley Camera Club, we’d love to hear from you.
