Otley Camera Club and Otley Cricket Club – A New Partnership Begins

Saturday marked the beginning of an exciting new partnership between Otley Camera Club and Otley Cricket Club as our members headed to Cross Green for their match against Horsforth Hall Park.

The day provided everything you could want from a cricket fixture. After bowling Horsforth Hall Park out for 253, Otley produced an excellent run chase to secure a brilliant victory.

For Otley Camera Club, the day was about much more than photographing a cricket match. Supporting local organisations is something we are passionate about, and this partnership gives our members another fantastic opportunity to get involved in the community while developing their photography skills.

Sports photography presents its own unique challenges, from anticipating the action and tracking fast-moving players to capturing those decisive moments that tell the story of the game. It proved to be a brilliant learning experience for our photographers—and with the sun shining throughout the afternoon, there were certainly worse places to spend a Saturday!

We're looking forward to working with Otley Cricket Club throughout the season and capturing many more memorable moments both on and off the field.
