OCC Visits OCC Again – Another Great Day of Cricket Photography

The partnership between Otley Camera Club and Otley Cricket Club continued this weekend as our members returned to Cross Green to photograph another exciting league fixture.

The match certainly didn't disappoint. Otley produced a superb all-round team performance to record an emphatic 115-run victory over Bilton CC.

Batting first, Otley amassed an impressive 283/7, built around excellent innings from Alex Atkinson (74) and George Huntley (54) before Charlie Parker provided the late fireworks with a blistering unbeaten 78 from just 34 balls.

If that wasn't enough, Charlie followed it up by claiming 5 wickets, while Immy Slaza matched the feat at the other end with another five-wicket haul as Bilton were bowled out for 168, completing an outstanding team performance.

For Otley Camera Club, these fixtures are proving to be about much more than simply photographing cricket. They provide a fantastic opportunity for members to practise sports photography, challenge themselves to capture split-second moments, and learn from one another in a relaxed environment.

There's also something special about spending a summer Saturday sitting beside the boundary, enjoying the sunshine, chatting with fellow photographers and watching a great game unfold while waiting for that decisive moment to press the shutter.

We're delighted to continue supporting Otley Cricket Club and look forward to capturing many more memorable moments throughout the season.
