Richard Spurdens gave our Club a fabulous talk this week. Richard is a studio and location photographer based out of Bradford. He started taking photographs in the days of film and chemicals - in those days he was mainly interested in motor sport (rally sport). Today he works with a digital camera and enjoys the challenge of photographing a variety of subjects crossing over a number of genres including portraits, fashion images, as well as fine art nude figure studies.
Richard talked us through a large range of his images and gave us lots of inspiration for the future including ideas about conducting remote portrait studio sessions. This is not something that any of us had considered before, but apparently in this time of Covid it is a growing industry. Richard has conducted several such sessions since lock-down with models outside of the UK - food for thought!
