Monochrome Out & About
A group of the camera club went over to Cliffe Castle today to see the Yorkshire Monochrome Group's exhibition. We were looking for ideas and inspiration and found much to admire.
The Yorkshire Monochrome Group is a group of enthusiastic photographers who like to work in monochrome. The Group's aim is to encourage monochrome photography, both film and digital, by producing, showing and discussing prints or projected images with colleagues, mounting exhibitions of the Group's work and enjoying the stimulation offered by the Group's programme of invited speakers.
The exhibition we saw today included a range of subjects - wildlife, landscapes, architecture portraits, street scenes and creative images. With no set theme, the exhibition has been designed to show the many different aspects of monochrome photography and the talent within the group.
We very much enjoyed the exhibition and the tea and scone afterwards!
