Last Thursday was the first club night after Christmas and club members arrived expecting the normal in-house competition judging for the lines competition. They were in for a surprise - Keith our Competition Secretary had been busy and had devised a new judging method to shake things up a bit! Instead of club members judging the submitted images individually, the members were asked to get into groups and work collaboratively to judge the shots.
Following lots of friendly debate, and lots of mind-swapping each group decided on their winning photos and submitted their choices to the Competition Secretary. The scores were totted up and results reviewed and discussed by everybody.
A good night was had by all and it was decided that this method of judging is without doubt the way forwards for the next in-house competition. A big thanks to Keith and everyone involved in setting it up.
