Tonight’s club night was a review of our ‘Out and About’ season.
Out and About is a monthly trip we have to somewhere where we can take photos. It’s about photography but also a great social event. In addition to the monthly trips, there are ‘ad hoc’ trips throughout the year and this year saw a weekend away to the Lakes too. Locations in the past have included: Beamsly Beacon, Roseberry Topping, Whitby Goth Weekend, York Viking Weekend, the Seated Man, Haworth 40’s Weekend, Yorkshire Wildlife Park, Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
To start the evening, we watched an excellent film, made by Julie, which showed a selection of photos taken on the trips. At the end of the night, we had a brainstorm of places we want to visit in the future - there were some great ideas.
It was excellent that we welcomed some new members tonight. Hopefully, we will see you next week when it is the macro competition judged by Nik Hodgson.
