A Host Of Golden Daffodils

Today was an Out and About trip in the glorious sunshine to Farndale to photograph the wild daffodils that grow around the woods and alongside the river Dove. Thanks to Keira for allowing us to use her photos. More information on the area can be found here .

Jed Wee

This evening, we were lucky to have a talk by professional photographer Jed Wee. He spoke about his sport, wildlife and landscape photography.  Accompanying his talk was a plethora of breathtaking images.  At the end of the night, he also shared some of his amazing time lapse work. It really was an inspirational evening and I highly recommend looking at his website and Facebook page.

Water Competition

This week, we held our in house water competition. All the members got to view the images and were asked to vote on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, highly commended and commended. The votes were then counted and the winners announced. Click on the winning photo by Phil Naylor to view all the winners.

Exhibition Success

Last weekend saw our exhibition at Otley Parish Church.  There was over 50 images on display alongside a digital presentation showcasing 100’s more.  The two afternoon sessions had a cafe running alongside it and we also had a private viewing session on the Saturday evening.  A raffle to win photoshoots from some of our members was held. The event was a big success with many visitors joining us and lots of positivity received about the images on display.  It also encouraged a few people to come and join our club which is fantastic news.
